Heat Treatment

Core process of working with nitinol.  All nitinol must be heat treated to exhibit either superelasticity or the shape memory effect.  By altering the heat treatment process, a wide range of properties can be obtained.

Surface Treatment

The surface of the nitinol governs the way it interacts with its environment.  We have more than 20 treatments available to get the most out of your nitinol including coating, polishing, chemical treatment.

Learn More

Thermo-Mechanical

The stress-strain relationship of Nitinol is temperature dependent. We are equipped to help you obtain a complete, temperature dependent, mechanical profile of your nitinol system.

Shape Setting

Whether you’re looking for a rough, low cost, one-off for a proof of concept or a complex system, we can provide excellent results in an incredibly short period of time in a most economical way.

Learn More

Laser Welding

Attaching nitinol to itself and to other materials can be quite complicated.  By using the high quality fiber and YAG lasers in our lab, very strong attachments can be made.

Transition Temp Characterization

Whether you are looking for a stress free test (DSC), stressed test (Bend and Free Recovery), or an active test, or you need help determining what you really need, our thermal analysis suite will take care of you.
