Heat Treatment

Core process of working with nitinol, which must be heat treated to exhibit either superelasticity or the shape memory effect. Therefore, by altering the heat treatment process, a wide range of properties can be obtained.

Surface Treatment

The surface of the nitinol governs the way it interacts with its environment. We have more than 20 treatments available including coating, polishing and chemical treatment to fully optimize your material.

Thermo-Mechanical

The stress-strain relationship of Nitinol is temperature dependent. We are equipped with a temperature controlled UTM to help you obtain a complete, temperature dependent, mechanical profile.

Shape Setting

Whether you’re looking for a rough, low cost, one-off for a proof of concept or a complex system, we can provide excellent results in an incredibly short period of time in a most economical way.

Laser Welding

Attaching nitinol to itself and to other materials can be quite complicated. However, by using the high quality fiber and YAG lasers in our lab, very strong attachments can be made.
