Joe Kellogg, CEO & Founder of KRL. A 12-year veteran in the army, Joe has since led the rapidly growing KRL into the forefront arena of SMA technologies, assembling a vertically integrated company and a highly experienced team along the way.

Charles Weinberg PHD
Chief Technology Officer

BIO

Charles recently completed his PhD at the University of Minnesota with a focus on the manipulation, prediction, and functionalization of new shape memory alloy geometries for active and passive aerospace, medical device, wearable, and robotic applications. He is currently the CTO at Kellogg’s Research Labs and is directing their R&D division which has a broad range of exciting projects from new manufacturing methods to the development of new SMA applications.

Mike Laureno
Chief Financial Officer

For over a decade prior to joining KRL, Mike served as an interim and part time CFO, as well as a strategic adviser to a broad range of companies.
With his practice,
As the Chief Financial Officer for KRL, Mike is responsible for all matters of finance and accounting for the company. His roles included a mix of raising both debt and equity, exit preparation, M&A advisory, and aligning corporate strategy with operations and finance, as well as running the day to day of financial operations.

He holds a BA in Philosophy and an MS in Finance from Boston College

Alina Baron
Lead Applications Engineer

Alina graduated from University of Massachusetts – Lowell with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She is currently the lead applications engineer at KRL where she specializes in maintaining strong customer relations, developing new Nitinol applications and markets, and growing our sales team..

Colin Rebhun
VP of Engineering

BIO

Colin graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Since then, he has fully embraced the potential of Nitinol and Shape Memory Alloys. Colin is the VP of Engineering at KRL, directing all engineering operations to ensure on-time deliverables to our many customers.

Justin Hughes
Operations Manager

Justin spent over a decade working in manufacturing, specializing in high precision CNC machining for DOD and medical devices. Justin now manages Kellogg’s Research Labs production division, which specializes in efficient high-volume production and manufacturing. .
