Nitinol Knife Blanks

One of the best knife-making metals; introducing KRL’s nitinol knife blanks. Our special blend of nitinol 60 is the ultimate blade-making material. This ultra-hard, corrosion-resistant material can hold an edge longer than the other materials available on the market. On top of that, a knife made of NITI60 is lighter than steel with the added benefit of being non-magnetic. With the proper heat treatment, these blades produce a burst of color when oxidized making it an excellent piece that can handle harsh work environments. There is a reason why Nitinol has been to space.

Our team optimized this melt for the sole purpose of knife making and producing the highest quality of knife blanks. Starting from American mines, melted in the states, and machined in our facility in New Hampshire, this blank is an all-American piece. Currently, all Nitinol knife blanks are cut to 6″ and 14″ lengths with a thickness of 3 mm. This allows the bladesmith to create a knife of any shape.
